quickly and easily print photos for yourself or to share with family and friends. You no

What is it?

Bluetooth wireless technology establishes connections between devices within a short
range (about thirty feet). It's a standard feature of most camera phones sold today and
is a common method for mobile handheld printing.

Many HP printers offer embedded Bluetooth wireless technology which allows photo

printing from most camera phones and smart phones that support Bluetooth.

Many more HP printers can be upgraded to support Bluetooth with the purchase of the

 HP bt500 Bluetooth Adapter.

How do I make it work?

Step one: Make sure that you have a phone and printer that both support Bluetooth
wireless technology.*

Step two: Open the image on your phone that you wish to print, then select the
button associated with the "options" or "menu" selection often on the lower
right of the screen.**

Step three: You will then see numerous additional choices. The most common
choices to print from your Bluetooth enabled phone are: "Print," "Send,"
 "Send to Bluetooth" or "Beam."**

Step four: Choose your Bluetooth enabled device from the list offered. Printing
should occur without delay. Most phones will default to a 4" x 6" (10cm x 15cm)
size photo and will choose the printers main paper tray as its source for printing.

Your printer should default to the automatic photo tray (if available in your model),
otherwise it will default to the printers main paper tray.

Pairing of Devices

While many phones no longer require any further steps, some phones require
you to "pair" your devices prior to printing for the first time. Some phones will
allow you to pair during the printing process described above. If your phone
allows you to pair while you are trying to print, you will only need to know the
pairing code for HP Bluetooth enabled printers. This code is "0000" (4 zeros).
Once paired, that phone and printer combination should print without further
delay.

If your phone requires you to pair the devices prior to attempting to print, follow

 these steps:

Step one: Go back to the main phone menu and select either the "Settings" or
"Tools" option. Then look for an option such as "Bluetooth" or "Connectivity"
and select.

Step two: Next, look for an option such as "Set up devices" or "Add a new
device". Once selected, the phone will typically ask you to ensure that the
device is in a "discoverable" state (powered on with Bluetooth wireless
technology options enabled).

Step three: Select the desired printer and select the "pair" option. When
prompted, enter the pairing code of "0000" (4 zeros). Once paired, go
back to the original steps above and try printing again.
