Senior Accesories Product Manager.
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (San Francisco Bay)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Product Manager at Palm/HP you'll be at the forefront of establishing Palm/HP as a leader in the most innovative, intuitive accessories in the mobility market.
You will have the overall responsibility to research, develop and bring to market HP Palm�s innovative accessory product lines. This position requires strategic thinkers with a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams to launch visionary products in carrier and retail channels.
The Senior Product Manager will be required to create and execute business plans, product line strategies and manage product roadmaps, driving profitable growth for assigned product categories.
Duties/Responsibilities:
� Develop new accessory product proposals and oversee projects from definition and development through launch and end of life.
� Identify and rollout an overall accessory strategy for designated HP Palm product lines
� Bring forward new and creative accessory product concepts that mesh well with HP Palm�s devices with differentiated and unique experiences
� Manage the product lines by defining/leading product roadmaps, promotions, ROI�s, forecasting, pricing, and lifecycle planning.
� Develop product positioning in the marketplace utilizing market and technology research and analysis
� Work closely with the WW sales teams to develop a clear understanding of customer needs and drive to a consensus forecast
Qualifications:
� 5 to 7 years in a related high tech Product Management role with responsibility for taking products from concept to market.
� Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking around new and differentiated products that were brought to market
� Product marketing experience for consumer products accessories including both hardware and software.
� Strong leadership skills and an ability to work autonomously
� Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster strong cross-functional teamwork
� Must have a demonstrated track record of effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
� Strong analytical skills and experience in pricing, forecasting, profitability analysis, and product life planning
Education:
BA or BS degree in engineering, business, computer science or technical related field. MBA preferred
