Alstom chooses Telef�nica as its strategic partner for mobile services


Alstom, a global leader in the world of power generation, power transmission and rail infrastructure, has selected Telef�nica as its wireless communications provider for the next three years across six European countries including the UK, Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, France (together with Bouygues Telecom), Poland (in tandem with Era), and in Brazil.

 
Telef�nica Multinational Solutions will coordinate the end to end delivery of customer service management, development and post-sales service in the countries covered by the agreement, coordinating Telef�nica Business units and partners in those countries.

The contract signed incorporates more than 17500 lines across 7 countries, of which 12000 have been migrated within this agreement.

Jacques Ferr�, Director Telecommunications, and Daniel Drouyau, IS&T sourcing Director at Alstom Company stated that, �Alstom has selected Telef�nica�s solution not only  because of the competitive offer, but due to Telef�nica�s ability to offer centralised contract management, its technological and service capabilities and its presence in the various countries where Alstom operates�.

For Alstom, this deal signifies a centralized coordination of its wireless services (voice and data) under a single operator, enabling it to streamline the management of its mobile operations, delivering cost and quality control within a unified framework agreement with the capacity to accommodate existing economies of scale and facilitate future expansion.
